Cost of Specialized Veterinary Care

LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital in Cooper City is a state-of-the-art facility with highly skilled, board-certified veterinarians and veterinary support staff. Our mission is to provide your pet with the most professional and compassionate medical care possible, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Veterinary medicine has advanced rapidly over the past 10 to 15 years. Treatment has become more complex and often more expensive. However, it can also save money over time by pinpointing diagnosis and treating your sick or injured pet early and more effectively.

When you come through LeadER’s emergency service, a triage nurse will take your pet's vital signs and a brief history. After an evaluation, a doctor will formulate a diagnostic and treatment plan for your pet. The doctor may recommend that your pet be treated and discharged or advise hospitalization for ongoing care.

Once your pet has received a complete and thorough physical examination, we will provide you with a written medical plan and recommended course of treatment, which may include additional diagnostic tests. Deposits are required for all patients who are receiving treatment. If your pet needs to be admitted to our hospital, we will need your written approval to proceed with your pet’s care. Once you have approved our recommended treatment plan, a 50% deposit will be collected at the time your pet is admitted for hospitalization or other procedures.

If the actual services needed exceed the treatment plan, we will keep you informed of the additional care and costs during the treatment phase. However, in some cases, this may not be possible given the patient’s need for immediate care. Please share any concerns and questions with the doctor before your pet’s treatment begins. It is very important that your medical team have a clear understanding or your desires before any course of treatment is undertaken.

Rest assured, we will do everything we can to keep costs reasonable in relation to the quality of advanced veterinary care. The final payment for your pet’s veterinary care will be due at discharge. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express and debit cards. We also offer Care Credit financing for our client’s convenience.
